More about the Writer

Born in New Delhi, Mukul Shri Goel spent his earliest years in upstate New York. He completed most of his schooling in Rajasthan, where he also learned Indian Classical Music under the personal guidance of a renowned guru and obtained a Sangit Prabhakar (bachelor’s degree in music). Later, for his college education in engineering, he moved to New Jersey and obtained a BS in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Mukul completed a PhD and postdoctoral research in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, where his work focused on areas relevant to cardiovascular disease.

Mukul turned to spiritual writing to connect to something deeper and more intuitive. His writings derive lessons in spirituality from ancient Hindu literature and the works of devotional Hindu saints. When writing about philosophy and culture, he often tends to focus on how Hindus approach the Divine through remembrance and surrender. He currently lives in India.
